Have you ever felt your brain start to fill up with unclear thoughts, your body tighten up and you feel like moving is just too painful. The stress builds inside you. Little by little it sucks away any bit of motivation to move and eat correctly. The thought of tackling the millions of challenges to healthy living becomes harder and harder.
Inevitably, I start hating my body, and how I look in clothes. I stop being motivated to go out and be around people. That’s when things start to get dark for me. Sugar and other vices become my friend.
Hopefully, sooner rather than later, I remember I need to shake out of it. I need to set myself straight so I throw on my shoes, comfortable and supportive workout clothes, my headphones and head to the gym. Not every workout is great, but I always feel better than I did! It’s just the first step and it gets easier from there.
The longer you wait, the harder it is.
